A Massachusetts Morass Side Quest
Dr. Cynthia Bjorlie recently sat for a deposition in the defamation case Orlando v. Bjorlie. The defendant is a former candidate for Republican State Committeewoman and the main instigator of the Gloucester Republican City Committee coup we detailed in our Massachusetts Morass series.
Recall that Bjorlie and two other defendants who were also part of the GRCC coup are being sued for defamation by Concetta Orlando, the mother of Amanda Orlando, former State Committeewoman for 1st Essex and Middlesex. The Orlando family was heavily involved in the Massachusetts Morass series as targets of Bjorlie and her cohorts.
Recent public documents of Bjorlie’s sit-down with Attorney Orlando provide additional insight into the defendant’s character and temperament through stalling, obfuscation, hostility, and general noncompliance. Read the summary of the complaint:
Perhaps such behavior is understandable if the defendant experienced discomfort while being questioned by the son of the person she falsely called a criminal.

The MassGOP might be grateful that Bjorlie was not elected to represent her district as State Committeewoman, but given Chair Amy Carnevale’s tacit approval of the GRCC coup, they might have deserved her.
