A watered-down telling of 2024 Election statewide feedback
The Massachusetts Democrat Party released its Listening Tour Report on March 7th, detailing party leaders’ takeaways from the nine virtual listening sessions held in each Congressional District. Unsurprisingly, the report glosses over or omits much of the contention, panic, and vitriol voiced in several of the districts. A stark contrast to our experience listening in on the calls, which we documented in our previous article:
There is no mention of the great disdain some of the commenters had for Rep. Clark, for instance. While the report mentions concern for “Democratic politicians’ conflicting views on the war in Gaza,” it fails to emphasize that some district sessions had several callers voicing their disdain for Biden/Harris’s support for Israel, stating that was a major reason for the surprisingly low Democrat voter turnout.
No amount of glossing over the poor election performance can erase the trend toward a more conservative, America First Massachusetts.
