Your community center, so generously provided to you for “free,” is The Government’s community center.
Your public school–provided to you by your selfless leaders–where your kids attend “for free” is The Government’s school.
Your “free” health services, transportation services, family services, etc., provided by The Government BELONG TO THE GOVERNMENT.
So the next time you hear a politician bragging about how many grants and programs they worked so hard to bestow on your sleepy little town and how they somehow cleverly managed to claw back thousands or millions of dollars from the grips of The State and Federal Government–all while kissing babies and shaking hands and asking for your vote–remember:
Don’t think for one minute that these things belong to you because you paid taxes. No. All of those “free” things belong to The Government. Not you.
And The Government can take it all away.
