ZINC is the trace mineral of the day
Zinc is an antioxidant.
Zinc is not stored in your body, so it needs to be ingested daily.
Do you have enough Zinc? Let’s see!
Lack of Zinc can cause:
- Lack of smell and taste: You know that post-cold “can’t smell anything?” You used up your zinc “army.”
- Infections: respiratory and skin, nail beds
- White spots on nails
- Muscle fatigue
- Hair loss
- Loose bowel
- Low Testosterone, shrinking gonads, infertility
- Poor memory, mental fatigue
- Poor eyesight, especially at night
- High blood sugar, complicated Diabetes
- Achilles pain, calf muscle pain
Why is my Zinc low?
- Whole grains can block your Zinc absorption
- Too much sugar can also cause low Zinc
- Medications can also cause low Zinc absorption
Solution: Eat foods high in Zinc
- Oysters
- Fish
- Red meat
- Pumpkin seeds and watermelon
- Take a Zinc supplement
Avoid: Grains, especially whole grain, and sugar.
Summary:
The Pancreas, Skin, Brain, Muscles, and prostate (if you are male) all require Zinc.
Your whole body needs a combination of Trace Minerals, not just one. I think of my supplements as an offering to my body. I give it the best quality I can find, let my genius body take what it needs, and exchange out what it doesn’t.
I take high-quality trace mineral supplements. When sick, I also take 50mg of Zinc Gluconate.
If you want more information, I highly recommend Dr. Berg. He offers many short videos on a variety of health subjects as well as high-quality supplements. I also trust supplements from Standard Process. They can be found at professional nutrition and chiropractic offices. I shy away from generic brands. Always check the ingredients to see if they use the foods mentioned above as mineral sources.
May the Zn be with you!
