Yes, absolutely! The right salt, that is.

This is my Mad-pinion and should be taken with a…grain of salt.
Regular table salt is garbage. Just throw it out! Even though it is refined—and sometimes bleached—to look good, it doesn’t mean it’s good for you. It probably contains plastics and other sea garbage; some even contain added sweeteners. Your table salt should not need added sugar to taste good!
Regular table salt contains highly processed sodium chloride, which your body doesn’t recognize properly. When ingested, your digestive system pulls minerals from your bones to process the sodium, toxic plastics, and other waste. If your body can’t do this well enough, you could become mineral deficient and begin retaining fluid, otherwise known as the sodium blues (swollen legs and feet). With all that extra fluid, your blood pressure will likely spike!
This is why salt has a bad reputation. Would you like being called a bank robber because your cousin robbed a few banks and dragged your name through the mud? No!
All salts are NOT the same! Some are invaluable!
Himalayan Salt should say it was collected from the Punjab region of Pakistan. It will not have plastics like regular table salt because they were not around when this salt bed was formed. The benefit of Himalayan salt is its extraordinary mineral count, up to eighty. Note that Himalayan salt does not contain iodine, an essential mineral.

Celtic Sea Salt, found in an ancient salt mine in France, is also without toxic plastics, has about forty trace minerals, and includes iodine.

Redmond Real Salt (brand name) comes from a salt mine in the USA. I’ve never tried it, but a YouTube video made me want to try some. It has higher iron than my other two favorites!

The correct salt can:
- aid digestion
- benefit the adrenal glands
- add invaluable trace minerals to your diet
- give your body immune support
- help regulate insulin
- aid in hydration
- balance electrolytes (sodium, potassium, and magnesium) which are essential for your muscles
Regular table salt:
- provides no calcium, magnesium, or potassium
- may contain additives and plastics
- contains only sodium chloride and sometimes iodine
Regular table salt is poison, in my Mad-pinion.
So, replace your regular salt with a more beneficial one, and salt away!
(In moderation, of course!)
